These limited edition vessels have been created for Heliotrope by California artist Sherry Olsen. The candles are made of all natural, non-GMO soy wax, plus pure essential oils - no synthetic fragrances!
After designing the clay vessel, the artist signed each one, and hand-dipped each in glaze. They are available "empty" also
Once the wax is depleted, the "faux bois" (false wood) objets can be reused for many things around the house - they come with a small hole in the back that can be hung on a nail. They make a great vase, or pencil holder, or whatever you like! Check them out here.
They come in three essential oil blends, each one in its own color vessel:
WHITE = "Wood," a lovely combination of birchwood, oud, and sandalwood
YELLOW = "Spice," a surprisingly complex blend of cinnamon and lavender
GREEN = "Evergreen," a play on the winter favorites of juniper, spruce, and fir needle
limited edition objet d'art can be reused after candle is done
soy wax melts at a low temperature; when it's liquid, it makes a great massage oil - warm, not hot!
made with botanical oils and wax from soybeans, a renewable resource grown by American farmers
no petroleum products or additives, no artificial fragrances or synthetic colors
burns very clean
INGREDIENTS: Glycine max (soy) wax, essential oils.
I purchased several Heliotrope items when there was an amazing sale. In addition to the Lavender and Sage hand and body lotion, I ordered the eye cream, fragrance free hand and cuticle therapy, and the citrus nutmeg massage candle (cute concept). To date, I have only used the hand and body lotion (love it) and the eye cream (I use it at night and pair it with a different eye serum in the morning). Heliotrope makes quality, small batch products. Since it is a Bay Area company, I am likely to continue to purchase different products in the future. One last comment - I really appreciate that there is no hype or celebrity endorsements attached to Heliotrope -- the products speak for themselves.
Seriously, I haven’t used anything else since discovering the Rosemary Mint bar. Gentle exfoliation, great lather, and lovely scent — what’s not to like?! I even keep a bar in my travel bag so I always have it with me.
Thanks for writing! We're so glad you like the Bath Bar. Have you tried the new version with coffee grounds for exfoliating?
I highly recommend. Discovered Heliotrope randomly in SF when looking for a reasonably priced Aesop alternative. I quickly realized the product was local and had a great feel and smell. When we have guests over they love it too!
Well, we sure are glad you found us in SF! Thanks for your kind words, and we're thrilled that you & your friends love our hand soap (we do, too).
This lotion feels so nice. I like the unscented option.
We're so pleased you like it! Thanks for taking the time to write. If you feel like trying something new next time, you can custom blend it with whatever essential oils you like - for free - or just leave it fragrance free (like JP does).
