The wooden slats are joined by metal rods (for strength) & silicone spacers (to keep it flat). Water just drains through, allowing the soap to stay dry and last longer. Expertly made in Germany. 3 1/2" x 4 3/4".
Stock varies between regular beechwood, or "thermawood" - ashwood that has gone through a process making it much more impervious to moisture. (Due to ongoing supply issues, we don't always have both in stock at the same time).
